Most People think Therapy is undoing what's happened to you. But whatever your past experiences, the associations exist, and you can't just delete them. You can't get rid of the past. Therapy is about building NEW associations, making new, healthier default pathways. Therapy is like taking your two-lane dirt road and creating a four-lane freeway alongside it. The old road stays, but you won't use it much anymore. Therapy builds a better alternative, a new default. - Bruce.D. Perry.
Hi, I'm Suzie Kennedy (MBACP) (MACC) (MNCPS Accredited)
I am the founder of Faith in Me Therapy. I hold a BA (Hons) degree in Counselling and Theology and am a registered psychotherapist with the BACP, ACC and Accredited with NCPS.
I practice integrative therapy, which combines Person-centred, CBT, Psychodynamic, and Gestalt modalities to benefit the clients' presenting issues.
I believe that Therapy should be accessible to all. Therefore, I price my services accordingly, with a sliding scale for those facing financial hardships.
With a wealth of experience gained from counselling clients with a range of issues at an NHS mental health counselling service and a nationwide drug rehabilitation service. I have seen firsthand how therapy can transform lives. My clients have experienced a range of presenting issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship struggles, and addiction. I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to work with clients through the issues impacting their quality of life.
I have been invited to speak at conventions, charities, and media outlets to share how therapy can transform lives.
Having personally overcome significant challenges, I understand the courage it takes to seek help and the debilitating nature of these issues.
I am a Christian who believes in the value of each person and honors diversity and inclusivity. I welcome clients of all faiths or none. My practice is a safe and respectful space for every client.
In 2023, I was honoured to be appointed an Ambassador for the Woman's Trust charity. This role allows me to contribute to a cause I deeply care about, providing women who have experienced domestic violence with access to free counselling and support services.
I adhere to the BACP and ACC ethical frameworks, assuring a confidential counselling space to explore the areas in life you feel are holding you back. Together, we will develop skills and strategies to help overcome these challenges. You have the power within you to recover the life you want.
