Welcome. I'm Vicky Mould, the founder and owner of Azalea Counselling. I offer individual counselling for adults and work comfortably on a long or short-term basis. I now practise exclusively online and over the telephone, with online sessions via Zoom, FaceTime or WhatsApp.

Many people come for counselling and benefit from the experience. Counselling can offer the safety and support to explore and make sense of your struggles, find your way through them and continue with a healthier or more fulfilling life.

If you're seeking counselling for the first time, it's important you find a therapist who feels right for you. I offer a 60-minute consultation to help you in this process. If you'd like to book a consultation or ask questions beforehand, you can email me or call or text my practice mobile 07729 193629.

As an experienced mental health therapist and bereavement counsellor, I can offer caring, compassionate and non-judgmental counselling for life challenges and concerns such as:

*Loss and grief, including baby loss
*Surviving sexual or domestic abuse
*Depression, including postnatal depression
*Anxiety, including panic attacks
*Stress, including work-related stress
*Low self-confidence and self-esteem
*Loneliness or social isolation
*Relationship issues or changes
*Managing the effects of schizophrenia or bipolar
*Trauma, including PTSD and BPD/EUPD.

Counselling can be a courageous step in all these experiences, yet I believe in mental health and trauma recovery and the unique potential you have within you. We can work at your pace to find your sense of coping, healing or wellbeing.

I am a down-to-earth, friendly-natured counsellor who can help you feel at ease.

Practising person-centred therapy, I can help you feel part of a safe and supportive relationship and valued, accepted, heard and understood.

Sometimes, it's hard to express yourself through words alone or move forward from struggles or concerns despite talking them through. I offer the option of creative counselling, such as using art mediums alongside talking therapy, and you don't need experience or skills in art to engage in this process. We can discuss creative counselling at the consultation or in our initial sessions.

Counselling with me can offer relief, insight, hope and increased confidence and trust in yourself. My goal in our counselling is to empower you to make the choices or changes you want to make.

If you'd like to book a 60-minute consultation or ask questions before taking that step, please email me or call or text my mobile 07729 193629.

There is lots of information on my counselling website - do take a look, as it will give you more of a sense of me and how I can work with you.

    Experience
I have been a counsellor in Eastleigh and Southampton since 2011. I now work exclusively online and over the phone. I offer person-centred therapy for adults and have a specialist interest in bereavement counselling, mental health and domestic abuse counselling.

I take a trauma-informed approach to my work, including offering the opportunity to express yourself through art or other creative mediums. I access trauma training regularly as part of my continuing professional development.

As an Accredited Professional Registrant of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society, I adhere to their Code of Ethics. I'm fully insured and regularly consult a counselling supervisor.

I have been a bereavement professional since 2008 - initially as a trained volunteer for Cruse Bereavement Care, and now as a bereavement counsellor in private practice. I hold further training in child and baby loss, including the sensitive issues surrounding miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal loss and sudden infant loss.

I have a longstanding interest in adult mental health. Over the years, I have worked successfully with people experiencing the effects of depression (including postnatal depression), anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia and post-traumatic stress disorder. In the past, I have been a Support Time Recovery Worker for Together for Mental Wellbeing and a Support Worker on an NHS psychiatric ward. I have also volunteered for mental health charities such as Rethink Mental Illness and Solent Mind.

I have personal insight into domestic abuse, and many years ago, I was a Helpline Volunteer for Women's Aid. In my counselling practice, I offer support to anyone who is impacted by or concerned about domestic abuse - irrespective of their gender, ethnicity or background.
