As a psychotherapist my main concern is to provide you with an environment where you fell feel safe and accepted. A place where you can speak freely and reflect without been judged regardless of who you are.
“A safe place” where you can grow and blossom.
I will not offer advice, but will offer a response appropriate to the material you have shared, perhaps offering a new perspective.
My approach is integrative
This means that I am flexible and focus on the whole of an individual. By integrating different approaches I can adapt to meet individual needs and concerns.
I have integrated some Humanistic and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy into my practice.
Humanistic
I will use the core condition to create a warm therapeutic relationship, providing in turn a safe holding environment.
Everyone should be let to tell their story.
“The degree to which I can create relationships, which facilitate the growth of others as separate persons, is a measure of the growth I have achieved in myself.”
Carl R. Rogers, On Becoming a Person: A Therapist's View of Psychotherapy
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Sometime our unconscious holds onto painful feelings and memories, which can be too difficult for the conscious mind to deal with.
This approach can help can give you a better understanding of your issues and gain self-knowledge in addition to symptom relief.
“Tell me what you feart and I will tell you what has happened to you” Donald Woods Winnicott”.
