Great news on the success of the #KeepCousellingConfidentialCampaign!
The government has now accepted an amendment to the Victims and Prisoners Bill, which will raise the legal threshold for when rape survivors’ counselling notes can be requested by the police.
We take great pride in having been a part of this really important campaign, and are so grateful to the NCPS members who participated in our survey, revealing that 9 out of 10 individuals supported the cause and a staggering 96% support the calls for free, independent legal advice for survivors whose notes have been requested.
