"[PAPYRUS](https://www.papyrus-uk.org) exists to give young people hope and to prevent young suicide."

They do this by:

- Provide confidential help and advice to young people and anyone worried about a young person

- Help others to prevent young suicide by working with and training professionals

- Campaign and influence national policy

One of the things PAPYRUS provides is a national helpline, HOPELineUK. PAPYRUS have confirmed with the National Counselling Society that members can contact HOPELineUK for their own support and guidance on working with a suicidal person or as a debrief after a difficult conversation.

The phone number to call is 0800 068 41 41

The service is also there to provide confidential support and advice to young people and anyone worried about a young person.

The helpline includes text and email services, staffed by a team of mental health professionals who provide practical help and advice to vulnerable young people and to those concerned about any young person who may be at risk of suicide.
