The workshop will include experiential exercises, theory and counselling practice related to:

- Defining Shame: a relational concept

- Differentiating guilt, healthy and toxic shame

- Working on shame with present-centered awareness

Alan Leach (BSc.Clin.Psych.) studied at the Gestalt Therapy Institute of Philadelphia and has worked in the counselling & psychotherapy field for thirty years. His professional expertise embraces the fields of dreams, grief and shame. Alan was a member of the 911 British Support Team in NYC. He currently practices as Gestalt psychotherapist and supervisor in East Riding of Yorkshire teaching workshops throughout the UK, Norway, USA and Australia.

All welcome including trainee and qualified counsellors & psychotherapists who want to develop their expertise in working with shame within a facilitative and meaningful therapeutic framework.
