This workshop aimed at Hypnotherapists, Counsellors, and intervention workers from all training modalities who wish to infuse creative approaches into the therapeutic space for clients.
As humans, we learn from using all our senses- not just our ears- which therapy depends on the most. According to neuropsychological research, our “audio systems” is one of the least important sensory modalities. Have you ever spoken to a client and become aware that they have become disengaged mentally, despite you doing your upmost to assist them?
Working creatively and dynamically can facilitate deeper insight and greater self awareness. The therapeutic interventions taught in this workshop are not aimed to quicken the therapeutic process, however sometimes therapy sessions can stagnate for a variety of reasons, creating resistance. Often clients can struggle to make connections, both at conscious and sub conscious level.
Neuroscientist Dr Joe Dispenza estimates that we have around 60-70,000 thoughts per day. Of those thoughts, much of them are based on repetition. He contends:
The same thoughts = The same choices
The same choices = The same behaviors
The same behaviors = Create the same experiences The same experiences = The same emotions The same emotions = The same thoughts.
If our clients are stuck on “default” settings with repetitive thoughts and behaviors, creative intervention can help to to break that pattern. This workshop is designed to give therapists additional tools to incorporate in their client work. These tools can cultivate client insight, generate further therapeutic enquiry and provide those “a-ha” moments that can lead to greater clarity. The workshop covers approaches to help clients deal with a range of issues including ;
Anxiety
Feeling stuck
Difficulties in letting go
